Juniors & Teens (Ages 10–14) for Parkland Athletes

Pre-teen and teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — competitive-ready training and an anti-bullying toolkit.

Parkland juniors training in this program are preparing for the technical demands of adult-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Classes incorporate live positional sparring, competition strategy, and the kind of intensity that Stoneman Douglas High School athletes recognize from other serious sports programs. The Juniors curriculum covers all major positions and submissions, with an emphasis on developing a personal game rather than simply memorizing technique. Students who graduate from the Juniors program into the adult class often find they can hold their own immediately — because the transition has been deliberate, not abrupt.

Why Train Juniors?

01

Full adult BJJ curriculum taught at intensity appropriate for ages 10 to 14 — not a watered-down version of kids class

02

Live positional sparring under direct instructor supervision — students practice technique against real resistance

03

IBJJF Kids and Teens competition preparation for students who want to test themselves in tournament settings

04

Personal game development — students begin identifying which techniques and positions work best for their individual build

05

Smooth transition into adult class — Juniors graduates arrive in adult training already fluent in the material

06

Mat culture that respects effort above all else — teenage practitioners learn what it means to show up and work
