The GB Coral Springs Story

Gracie Barra Coral Springs serves Coral Springs, Margate, Parkland, and Coconut Creek from our academy on NW 62nd Ave. Led by Professor Sergio Costa, an IBJJF Medalist and Gracie Barra Black Belt 3rd Degree, we offer structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for every age and experience level. Kids programs run from Tiny Champs (ages 3–5) through Juniors & Teens — each age band has its own curriculum. Adult classes run evenings and Saturdays, beginner-friendly with no experience needed. We are part of the Gracie Barra worldwide network of 1,000+ schools. Hospital-grade mats, loaner gi included, family viewing area on-site. First class is always free.

Sergio Santos Da Costa is the proud owner of Gracie Barra Coral Springs, Gracie Barra Boca Raton, and Gracie Barra Boynton Beach. A third-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Sergio has dedicated over half his life to the art — he began training in Brazil 17 years ago and has taught Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States and abroad ever since. Under the influence of Grand Master Osvaldo Alves and the leadership at Gracie Barra Headquarters, Professor Sergio refined the technique and teaching ability he brings to every class. He has taught seminars at Gracie Barra academies across the United States, Brazil, and Europe, with experience instructing kids, adults, law enforcement, and high-level athletes. A successful international competitor with multiple championship medals, he took bronze at the 2012 IBJJF World Championship.
